ORDINARY FOLK - SAP
I had the priveledge of working with Ordinary Folk again on this piece. Everyone they pulled in was on an absolute roll with their designs and animations. The original designs I recieved from the super talented Gabriel Silveira were a little flatter than this end piece ended up looking like. I hope there's no feelings that I butchered the design too badly!
I got the base animation done relatively quickly. We went through a few different itterations of camera movement and speed. Once we locked in the base animation, the only sticky issue that arose was getting the tales of our "swarming balls" not to feel like sperm! It's actually pretty amazing how often I run into this issue. Jorge suggested we create tails that looked more like speed lines opposed to physical trails. I ended up just bringing in an exported Ae file from C4D to take care of that issue in After Effects. Outside of that, this shot was an absolute pleasure to work on!
